As you are making your way up here, you can feel how you leave the noise and hectic pace of everyday life behind you. Instead, a wonderful natural landscape, amazing quietness, and a breathtaking view over the city of Brixen and the southern Eisack Valley awaits you. Authentic farm holidays in South Tyrol – Where all is “real”!
We live in an authentic mountain farm – our main work is agriculture. Since 2018 we have switched to organic farming. Our principal concern are our dairy cows, and we also beef up some of our young cattle. There are also pigs, cats, chickens, rabbits and a horse on our hands-on farm. It may happen that the calves bust out and the chickens appear uninvited at your barbecue party … That’s why you’ll sometimes find cow dung or a bit of hay lying around.

South Tyrolean mountain farm in a panoramic location
Our organic farm is called „Platzbon” and is situated on the Plose mountain, 1330 meter (4364 ft.) above sea level, overseeing the beautiful town of Brixen. Our farm lies in isolation and quietness. It is blessed with a wonderful panoramic view across Brixen and the Eisack Valley. You only need to step out of the front door and you find yourself in the middle of a wonderful alpine landscape, far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Enjoy an active holiday in summer or a winter vacation: Our farm is located on the sunny side of the Eisack Valley. With the evening sun on your balcony, you may end your day perfectly relaxed. The spectacular views range from the Zillertal Alps over the Rittner Horn to the Brenta Group and always offer a stunning nature spectacle. Your farm holiday in Brixen / Bressanone will certainly be a special experience.

Pure Delights – Food produced directly at our farm
Milk fresh from the cow in your morning coffee, breakfast eggs directly from our farm chicken. Our animals are important suppliers for healthy and high quality foods. True to the motto You are what you eat. We deliver fresh milk and eggs daily to you. We also market some of our young cattle beef directly from our farm. For our vacation guest, we always have some beef available.

Bread service
So that you don’t have to do without fresh bread in the morning, there is a bread service (every day except Sundays and public holidays). You can order what you want via the web shop and pay at the end of your stay.
Farm holidays in South Tyrol
For several hundred years, our beloved farmhouse has stood high above the Eisack Valley. Over time, the residents made modifications and adapted it to their needs. It was our goal to preserve the house for future generations. That is why we carefully renovated it between 2014 and 2016.
An ecological construction method was very important to us, as was the harmonious integration of historical as well as modern elements – without distorting the original character of the house. This resulted in two very comfortable and spacious holiday apartments that radiate a cozy ambiance and leave nothing to be desired. In 2017, we won the ITAS Prize for successfully preserving old buildings.
Besides biological management, our concept of sustainability also includes a modern wood chip heating system and a photovoltaic system, which provide heat and energy in the house and in the holiday apartments. The drinking water at our mountain farm on Mount Plose is of superior quality and comes directly from our own mountain spring.
Historic farm award
In 2017, we received an award from the “ITAS Insurance Group” for the exemplary, energetic renovation of our historic farmhouse. We were particularly pleased about that!
